Thank you acr0bat, yes, that is what I was trying to say.

But the intent of my original post referred mostly to the stage setup rather than the venues.  360, Vertigo and Elevation were similar in their setup.   Since this is a new decade, will U2 go with a conventional stage or still keep some version of a round stage.

I am a bit confused by this post. How was Elevation anything like 270 in its set up? Elevation was stripped back and very basic. 270 was the opposite. Either way I'm fine with a big stage set up but 270 was just silly. Popmart and ZOOTV had brains. Personally I'd rather something simpler in arenas. I think they'll go somewhere in between this time like Vertigo however.

Actually it should be pretty easy to to "compete" with 360. In terms of performance quality.

Competing with 360 has nothing to do with performance...

It does when the performances on 270 were so lazy...

It does to me.

The 270 performances were the weakest of any tour.

I don't care about shiny stages, bridges, and spinal tap structures.

No production and a great performance far outweighs the lackluster mailing it in performances of 270 with a bunch of silly witless staging

Some people around here only think about art in terms of numbers.

And it doesn't to me, so don't assume.

Well when you said performance didn't have to compete what other conclusion would you have drawn.

So again for me the main criteria that really matters is performance quality, followed by stadium or arena. It may be different for you. Then again maybe not. Some just like to argue both sides of a position.

I think the passing of Mark Fisher has more to do with future staging than anything else

I'm guessing it will be somewhat smaller with maybe a bit of futuristic design in places.
