So, from what I read in the thread, apparently one was able to see on youtube 2-3 clips of songs that could be new U2... but the youtube account was soon removed, and so were the clips. Very interesting and curious. I would really like to hear those clips.

What i got from this thread is that the guy is hyping the new album just as much as he hyped the last three.

Yeah well Gavin Friday isn't a reliable objective source now is he?
He's a very close and intimate friend of the band, if he thinks their album is crap he would never say this to the press.

Your exactly right, and that is the reason I'm not getting my hopes up to high for this album just to be let down.  All these small bits of info we got from people who have heard the album (Lanois, Blackwell, Gavin Friday) are all friends of the band and that is why I'm not putting to much weight to these comments.  And your right, if they thought the album was crap they are not going to say it to the press, but I hope they would at least have the courage to tell the band.
