Saving money and looking forward to seeing which cities U2 will be playing so that I can make vacation plans with my wife.

I'd love to see them in Boston, NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago,... Dublin? (Fingers crossed on that one).

Same here.  We have a special "U2 fund" so we can see them in multiple cities and plan vacations there.  Also working on trying to convince my sister and her family that GA is the way to go!

I was lucky enough to get in the Tampa Elipse in 2005, so I opted for the Atlanta cheap seats for 360 in 2009... then I sold those and upgraded to the GA... then sold those and upgraded to the Red Zone.

GA (or a version thereof) is definitely the way to go!

My U2 Tour Todo list is

Save up money
Get a passport
Save up some more money
Tickets to whatever shows are near(ish) me plus Dublin (if they play Dubs but if not, I may go anyway provided there are not hurricanes, floods, fires, blizzards, earthquakes, nuclear explosions, etc)
Submit for PTO
Buy airline tickets
Save more money
Make hotel reservations
Rent cars wherever necessary
Possibly sell a kidney
Coordinate travel dates to Dublin with KitKat

For me, prep consists of not listening to any of the recorded versions of the songs they're likely to play-a trick I learned over 20 years ago that's helped to keep it fresh. I do tend to listen back thru boots of the 18 shows I've seen since "War" tour, as a sort of travelogue/reminder of the high and lowlights over three decades. Cheap GA's, and I live in the bay area, so they always come through here-I don't travel beyond san jose or sacramento to see multiples due to the set list being fairly static.

Didn't work for De Niro in Casino. Sharon Stone got the key and took the box. Wives can smell money a mile away. They're like a bloodhound dog.

Yeah but Sam kept the key in his desk drawer.  Fatal error.  He should have kept it where Ginger and Nicky thought he would.

If you live in the san francisco bay area, they will likely do two shows either in Oakland or San Jose-socal shows are also an option from here. I do only a little prep, having seen them 18 times over 30 years, mainly not listening to tour songs. One of my "secrets" is not to buy tour merchandise (maybe a program), the savings enable me to do multiple shows. I haven't travelled much to U2 shows, as the set lists tend to be static-I would this time if they repeated the 2005 "switch sets between nights" technique, that was really nice-hadn't heard "an cat dubh" in 22 years, great surprise!

My anxiety is steadily building as I think of having to deal with casual fans in the GA line. Yes, the whole idea of a tour makes me take an ativan a day.

LOL....it has become harder to find us old timers (33 years for me), but we're still in the line somewhere....just look for grey hair ; )
