Your u2 related regrets?
« on: August 17, 2013, 01:20:40 PM »
Have you any regrets regarding u2?

I have a few.

among them are:

Not going to the Indoor Joshua Tree tour date in Glasgow, 3 days prior to the Big Outdoor gig....which i did go to.

Not looking after my Zoo Tv and Popmart Baseball caps i bought.

Not being able to remember pretty much any of my first ever u2 gig....on the Unforgettable Fire Tour. My memory of anything older than 10 mins is pretty sketchy at the best of times, but seriously, so poor is my recollection of that night, id honestly have been as well not going.

U2 playing too many stadiums on too many tours in Europe.

Not being a member of Propaganda in the early 90s and missing out of seeing a few Zoo TV indoor arena shows.

Living on the wrong continent and completely missing out on the Elevation and Vertigo tours. Although I'm ok with it, as I consider the opportunity I had to go in Moscow a gift from God.

Getting tickets in the stands at Toronto 1 2009 rather than the floor. The claw leg blocked Bono from direct view for much of the show, and I would have loved to have been closer during songs like The Unforgettable Fire and Your Blue Room with the more hardcore fans rather than the ubercasual fans that were in my section.

Perhaps not going to see Popmart in Vienna. I wasn't going to any other concerts either at the time but I was 17, so technically old enough... Had I friends who were also fans of the guys, I would've gone for sure though.

Other regrets? Going to Vertigo Munich, but not because of the show itself, more the circumstances.

-Not going to see the Vertigo tour (granted, I was 10, but still).
-Not going to see 360 in DC or Baltimore (I'm so mad that I missed the 09 shows)
-Not fully preparing myself for GA in Philly

Giving up a lot of U2 CD singles and bootlegs, the Lemon remixes, my Interference VHS, and POP on vinyl in a divorce.

Not going to the Brooklyn Bridge concert.  All I had to do was hop on the subway, but my boss was out of the office and I couldn't leave, idiot, I should have left anyway!

Not going to the Madison Square Garden shows right after 9/11.  My friend was supposed to get us tickets but took her brother instead, that's what I get for counting on someone else!

This for Lovetown.

Missing more Zoo shows than I would have if I wasn't in the military at the time.
