Does it bother any body else about them playing on GMA? I mean, do they need the exposure? I dunno.....sort of takes the "edge" out The Edge, know what I mean??

according to this:
-Free and Open to the public
-most concerts take place at their studio
-entrance is a first come first serve basis
-arrive no later than 7am (i.e. camp out)

But what I still dont know is whether THIS one will be inside or outside, where a 1st come 1st serve basis isnt needed

And the NLOTH album Wikipedia page says the concert will be "in" Times Square

When, exactly, are they going to officially announce the location?  It's only three days away!

J&R music store in NYC mentions the GMA concert being in Times Square as well. It's on a sign outside the store in the U2 NLOTH display.

This is straight from U2.com:

"The band will be performing live on ABC's 'Good Morning America' this Friday morning at 8am.

No word on the location but word is that it's definitely 8am. More if we get it."

The wait continues... 8)

More info:  U2gigs.com reports that they will be playing at the Rose Hill campus of Fordham University, on the steps of Keating Hall (only for students).  However, apparently GMA will be broadcasting the performance on the video screen for fans gathered in Times Square (not confirmed, but I found this info as well on U2gigs.com).  As reported earlier, the performance will be at 8 AM and will be 15 minutes long.

They broadcast the show on their jumbotron in Times Square every day, so presumably this will be broadcast on the side of their building, as well. Disappointing that it couldn't have been in Bryant Park: it could be that the city would not allow it given the recent snowstorm. Even sadder for the people who made plans thinking it would be a public concert.

I've been racking my brain and a few contacts I have about how to get in this thing but I don't think anyone outside Fordham U student/staff and ABC will be able to get in. I was willing to drive from Delaware again but I think watching it from home is the right idea. If it was public like Brooklyn was 4 or 5 years ago then I would go. I'm glad I got in on Monday's Letterman show. Twice in one week would have been amazing! However, I would still be willing to do a trip out there if any DE/South PA fans want to go for the heck of it. There is always something to do in NYC. Let me know.

LET ME IN THE SOUND!
