I enjoy both songs so I definitely would buy it but what about those who dislike both songs?

I'll buy it because I like both songs but I'm actually chuckling at the third option.

Of course! I like both songs, especially "Invisible", and wouldn't mind hearing an album in that fashion.

Not sure. I will listen to the album first, and then decide. I suppose that if all the tracks were in the same vein as Invisible and OL, I'd have to think hard if I really want to reward the band with my money for such work.

Even if I don't like the album I'll probably still buy it anyway and hope I grow to love it. Truth be told.

I like the production, but it all boils down to songwriting quality and album cohesion/flow.

I will listen to it a couple of times before I decide to give money for it. Unless it's obviously genius or crap.

That's a very strange stance TD.

I'd buy it if it was in the vein of invisible, not ordinary love. There are signs in invisible of a new departure, but ordinary love screams atyclb at me, and I prefer to forget that era.

No, I wouldn't buy it.

I'm still waiting for a new song to hook me, like NLOTH version 2 did during the last album promotion.

Ordinary Love is tons better than Invisible, I'm just listening to them back to back... I didn't even like OL that much so it's now apparent to me how weak Invisible is.

What gives me hope is thinking both songs are not related to the album, one is for a movie and another for a campaign (RED). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nope, invisible is on the album, albeit a different version.

I can't imagine not buying a U2 album, but if the album ends up sounding akin to Invisible it will be the first one I hesitate before buying.

If it sounds like Invisible for sure! If it sounds like Ordinary Love (but it won't) I don't know, I'd need to listen it carefully, but if all the songs have that style I will be very disappointed. More than very.

OL - Definitely not, I can't stand it, I found it whiny, irritating and u2 at their blandest. It's a song i'll never listen to again.

As for Invisible - there is promise there.... A more urgent, raw version of the song would be a potential belter. Not sure I would like a whole album in the vein of the version we have heard though - for my money U2 would be better without as much polish, it's like they have put Invisible through some kind of mainstream filter which IMO stunts it, it never quite gets to where it could do. The bones of a good song are definitely there though and I like it more than I did

The mid register Bono sings most of Invisible in is so much more pleasing to the ear than they whine of OL too.... It's not quite the Bono roar or his great lower register, but its OK

That's a big yes!

But then again, U2 has never had an album where most of the songs sounded like the first single.

Cheers,

J
