Personally (again), I don't think they'll get any better than PJ Harvey in 2001. I am still pi**ed that I couldn't get tickets for those shows and had to settle for No Doubt in leg 3.

Yeah, topping PJ Harvey would be hard, I agree.

^ oh, god no!   :(

...seeing as Muse is playing seemingly every Euro festival in existence apart from Wacken Open Air next summer, maybe they can pop in for an early  European U2 date or two.   :D

After Lorde's AMA performance the other night and her newest single, I'm now up for Lorde as an opener.

Starman - Did you see Lorde's performance? I didn't see the very start, but the rest was not just a vocal performance but performance art, and very well done. Compare THAT to Taylor's "show" and there is no comparison.

Edge likes them and they are okay, but the lead singer was a bit out of it when they opened for Muse at our Sept 2013.

I wouldn't mind them, would prefer Lorde since I've already seen Cage, and I'll take Muse anytime.

Not yet, but I saw her perform it on Fallon the other night

I'd be amazed if Lorde doesn't open at least a handful of U2 shows at some point in the next two years.

Really? I had no clue!! Did she have props? If not, you must watch the AMA performance! I've been kicking myself for not getting $15 tickets to see her here last February. The tickets went on sale several months before, I had just starting hearing her more on the radio and I had a feeling. My kiddos didn't want to go. KICKING myself harder and harder ever since! Although, my favorite of hers yet is Yellow Flicker Beat, so I guess I'll have to pay the big bucks to see her.

IF - I would LOVE it if she would open for U2!! I wonder what she'd sound like accompanying on The Troubles?! THAT would be something indeed!

^No props on Fallon. I need to check out that AMA performance when I have time.

I was thinking of finding a way to see her in Cleveland a few months ago but I didn't.

Going out on a limb.............

Echosmith

It would be interesting to see if they could handle the pressure of a full blown arena tour as a supporting act.

I dig them. Heavily inspired by U2's first three records, but I don't know, maybe they're a bit too young for a U2 audience. They might work as well as Lorde if they want to incentivate the young kinds to come to the shows.

I haven't listened to their album, but I definitely like Cool Kids.
