Which tour had the best opening acts

War had The Alarm.

TUF:  The Waterboys, Red Rockers, Lone Justice

Joshua Tree/Lovetown:  Lone Justice, Los Lobos, Lou Reed, The Pretenders, The Pogues, Little Steven, BB King and others

ZooTV/Zooropa:  The Pixies, Primus, BADII, Public Enemy and others

POP:  RATM, Third Eye Blind, Smashmouth, Fun Lovin' Criminals and others

Elevation:  No Doubt, Garbage, Stereophonics, PJ Harvey

Vertigo:  Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, Keane, Damien Marley, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, The Killers and others

360:  Snow Patrol, Muse, Black Eyed Peas, Interpol, Jay Z, Lenny Kravitz and others.

Forgive me for not listing all opening acts.

To be honest I don't tend to care much for the support acts I'm much more interested in seeing U2. Having said that there have been some notable exceptions - Stereo MC's & Pearl Jam were very good on ZooTV, as were Coldplay & RHCP when they supported at Slane

Hard to argue with vertigo, regardless of whether you like the acts, they are BIG names

Black Eyed Peas were the worst opening act imaginable (ok, maybe Kayne West, if you count him as an act versus just a clown).

Black Eyed Peas were the worst opening act imaginable (ok, maybe Kayne West, if you count him as an act versus just a clown).

See I hated Kanye West before seeing him open up, but back then he put on a pretty good opening act. He's gone a bit Rock Eistedfodd now though...

And I still hate BEP but I thought they got a pretty good reaction in Vegas and LA...

As for the topic, hard decision but I'm going with Vertigo. Pittsburgh got the lesser act in Damian Marley though (not that he's bad, but reggae gets old fast).
