Hi, My Name is Chris and I am a U2 Fan
« on: February 20, 2009, 06:57:02 PM »
And it's not a drug I can give up.

I'm twenty five, and from Nottingham, England.

I've been listening to them since 2001 after being mesmerised by their Brit Award performance I went out and bought All That You Can't Leve Behind, and then after that spent my time collecting the records and waiting for my first concert.

I saw them twice on the Vertigo tour, once in Dublin which was immense.

I also won tickets to seem them, I actually sent a begging letter with my competition entry, but it was worth it. I got to see them perform in the bbc car park, playing a few of the HTDAAB tracks for the first time.

And just for fun thought I would name my favourite track off each album. And my b side which is my other favourite track for when I have played the classics to death.

Out of Control / Shadows and Tall Trees
Gloria / October
Sunday Bloody Sunday / Two Hearts Beat as One
The Unforgettable Fire / Bad
I Still Haven't Found What I'm looking For / Running To Stand Still (That was a tough decision)
All I want is you / Angel of Harlem
One / Mysterious Ways (That was even tougher)
Stay / Babyface
If God Will Send His Angels / Playboy Mansion
Beautiful Day / Kite
Original of the Species / Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own (That was even more difficult, for all the wrong reasons)
Moment of Surrender / Fez - Being Born (And it really is too early to be making a decision on this but hey)

Thank you everybody.

Yes it has been good seeing them live, still, never have or will be able to see them on the Zoo TV Tour which I can tell from the video I would have loved. Even the Elevation tour seemed really good, I was just a little too late to the party. I may never get to see them in an arena at this rate.

Oh god, it doesn't resonate with that does it. Still I could see why it might.

Welcome to our little support group. Of course, we are not a 12-step program. No one here is interested in recovery.
