Has to be Magnificent in my opinion.  Anyone have any better ideas?

Yeah, that's pretty likely. It would be a good fit I think.

I agree 100% and then some! I was going to start this thread if someone hadn't already. I was just imagining it...The whole arena will be dark...They'd start playing...We'd see Bono make an entrance around the :20 mark Zoo Station style...everyone going crazy...then :45...the whole arena lights up...and it truly would be magnificent...

It would be a truly 'magnificent' entrance.

Would absolutely love it to be an oldie to kick off with........ A sort of Homecoming, or In Gods Country....... That would send the place fookin wild. Then into Magnificent.

Hard to be sure, as I recall Vertigo supplanting COBL outdoors due to the daylight.  The visuals and the running order, may be influenced by the longer days of summer.

I think GOYB may be the opener complete with the half Zoo TV style opening they've been doing when performing it.

i think boots and no line will open the gigs, with magnificent saved for the later, epic portion containing streets, bad etc.

As I've said on another thread, that opening 45 seconds of Magnificent seems to be written with the intention of using it when they take the stage.  whether it opens the concert or the encore, i gotta believe it's gonna be an "intro" song.

Fez - Being Born seems like it would work really well.  I could see them playing a bunch of songs consecutively off of this album to open the show:

1. Fez - Being Born
2. No Line on the Horizon
3. Magnificent
4. Get On Your Boots

High possibility that Botts could open the show. The fact that it's a single makes that chance even higher. The past 2 tours saw the lead single play early in the set.
