There has been no "misinformation" from the band.  They stated what they thought was true at the time any time they've made an announcement regarding when the album would be done.  The fans are the ones who imagined Invisible was an album lead-in, or had any significance to an upcoming album release.  Others provided rumors or hoaxes, and some fans seem destined to be angry at the band when those rumors and hoaxes are proven wrong.  The problem isn't that the band is giving incorrect information--it's that they're giving ANY information at all, when the album isn't done or scheduled for release.  The band saying they think they'll have it done, or want to have it done, or are hoping for a release by a certain date doesn't mean it WILL be, in any case.

Everyone asking for more communication from the band, when there is obviously nothing to communicate, are only asking for the current "spin-cycle" some (rather ridiculous) fans are in to continue, with everyone working themselves into a froth over something that is, bluntly, stupid.  Find something else to worry about, stop being mad at the band for not giving you what you want when you want it, and enjoy the announcement from the band that the new album is done and on they way on a specific date, if and when that ever happens.
