Greetings from God's Country
« on: August 20, 2014, 09:20:15 PM »
I'm not necessarily a new member but I haven't really been on the forum at all until a few days ago or really been on the website at all so I figured I would introduce myself.  As the title implies I'm from the US and am a bit of an anomaly as I'm only 17.  I first listened to U2 on the two "Best Of" CDs my dad owned as well as an Achtung Baby tape.  It wasn't until 2004 with Vertigo and HTDAAB that I first really got into U2 and began listening to all of the albums.  Now they are by far my favorite band and my favorite albums are Achtung Baby, JT, Zooropa, and TUF.  Honestly I like them all though, and what I really appreciate is how different they all sound.  I try to convince my friends of U2's greatness but I frequently get the responses "they're boring" and "everything sounds the same."  Well, I guess it's their loss.
