Agree about the alternative perspective post. It's about the pedophile priest and alternative perspective is from the victim.

By the song's end I just feel icky, but I like having the feeling from a U2 song.

That's it. That's it exactly. Great way to phrase it. By the end of the song, I just feel icky, but in the way I feel icky after watching a smart, observant person call out someone who is truly despicable. Disgust at what is happened coupled with the righteous indignation at having what they've done brought to light. Good description.

It's definitely about pedophilia in the Irish church. I think it's pretty black and white.
