Will it qualify for the chart?

Seeing as how it was given away for free? People still had to actively download it so it could show up on download charts. But is that cheating somehow?

It will not show up on any album sales charts while it is available for free. Once the album is released for purchase on October 13/14, 2014, then it will start to show up on album sales charts the following week, but only albums purchased physically or digitally will count as an album sold and towards its placement on the charts.

Some of the back catalog will though, thanks to the buzz and the 6 dollar itunes sale on it.

I'd expect these to re-chart: Joshua Tree, Achtung, U218, ATYCLB, War, R&H. Maybe Best of 80/90, TUF, HTDAAB.
