Could Cedars have been a moody 'Bullet T B Sky' masterpiece if it kept its opening momentum and they just built on it...Could have been very powerful? I feel it slowed too much.

I think it's perfect the way it is. Understated but powerful. I love how Larry is actually quite busy on his drums in parts and yet it retains its quiet atmosphere.

Cedars is #2 or #3 on my favorite all-time U2 songs.  I love it when Adam gets to shine...and the 10 seconds he lays down on this track with his bass solo combined with Larry's fill-in gets me every time.  I wouldn't touch this song.  That 10 seconds makes the album one of my faves.
