It doesn't mean that there will be more U2 time.

It doesn't really matter. I think they are good as up and coming bands get some more publicity. If you don't like them, just turn up to the concert at a later time, no one is forcing you to watch them.

Every time I've been to a no opening act show it has been longer than a typical U2 show. So no opening act for me.

Opening act, gigs are already expensive enough without offering less for the money paid.

Hugely enjoyed some of the openers down the years. Glasvegas were great at Croke in 09, I enjoyed their set more than U2's on that particular night.

If its a choice between a 3 hour U2 show and an opening act, 3 hour U2, but I think they boys need some rest time.

Even if the opening act is good, I'm still thinking- "when are they getting off so U2 can come on".  Paul McCartney has not had them when seeing him in arenas.

I'm w/ you.

I was so excited to see U2 for the first time ever that I was irritated that Florence & The Machine were singing at all. A little more than a year later, I paid about the same to see her as I did U2.  ???

So long as it isn't garbage like Jay Z I don't mind a support act.
