Larry's back/spine

If Larry's back is as debilitated as people say, how is he going to tolerate a full tour?

And bee pollen I'd bet! Vitamin B shots too I'd think.

Probably will go back and forth between a full kit and snare set up or something.

Honestly guys, if Larry's back was really that bad, they wouldn't be touring. I'm sure he has a masseuse on site among a bunch of other remedies. If he didn't have the ability to play a full kit each night, they wouldn't tour.

I can honestly say I think Larry's back problems are history I haven't seen him bang his drum kit like this since the first leg of the Elevation tour.

Where has it been reported that he has been having back issues lately?

I don't know about now, but he did have bandages on Elevation and Vertigo tour. I don't remember any pics from 360...hope he can last a full arena tour.

Those weren't bandages.  It's Kinesology tape and its used mostly by athletes to help alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, relax muscles, enhance performance, and help with rehabilitation as well as supporting muscles.  I've used it myself on my back and it really helps.

Yeah. I think this explains how he manages this issue. The problem was discussed more than 2 décades ago and in the meantime, Larry has had the time & money to figure things out. He should be all right.

Mullen had back problem in the Pop sessions so he missed a lot of studio time. The band then used drum machines in the meantime. That's one of the reasons Pop had touches of electronica, dance, and trip hop.

Cheers,

J

I can clearly recall stories about Larrys ability to drum being hampered as far back as Joshua Tree tour....and we are nearly 30 yrs on from that
