The nominations are absolute trash this year, it's so frustrating.

As for U2 - let the twitter trashing begin - one guy has already posted the now very boring and tiresome: "best album forced on the entire world" category. Yawn.

U2 should win this. I think BK are their biggest competition. Hopefully they'll get nominated (and win) for AOTY too. I'd like them to win another Grammy. It does a lot for their spirits it seems

99.9% U2 with out a doubt. Biases aside of course!
Glad they were nominated, deservedly so...have taken over the 3rd slot on my personal favorite U2 albums. Top 5>JT, AB, SOI, ATYCLB, UF

The Grammys can go f**k themselves. I hardly think that music actually matters to them. They really don't mean anything to me, but it's still annoying to see them only nominated once. They're not even nominated for Original Song From a Film (I forget what the category's actually called) for Ordinary Love!!

WOW those record of year nominees are frightening. To think Queen Madge was once nominated in this category..
 Its become complete trash. Beyonce should've been nominated. Its a sad day for music when likes of Iggy Azeaylia or whatever and Taylor Awkward smith gets rewarded for craptastic plastic music. 1D are probs more deserving...

God... I am terrified about Album of year nominations if this is the standard.

I agree.  They took lots of time and delayed the album again and again to come up with what they thought would at least challenge for Album of the Year in the overall category and not just the rock.  If that is all it gets it just equals NLOTH as that also got nominated for best rock album but did not win.  They cannot be too pleased.  I really think they blew it and misjudged with Miracle being the first single.  EBW or The Troubles should have been.
