Holy crap! The tickets prices left on sale, not resale!!!!!
« on: December 15, 2014, 09:49:39 AM »
LA the 200s section, top level, $312 toward the first half, $118 for the very last row! Not resale prices!!!

At the MSG that went on sale last week only $312 remaining in the upper sections.

I realize this has been discussed a bit, but I had to rant about it... wow..... I thought this was the Innocence and Experience tour... this seems a lot more about Experience!

I'm not even gonna talk about the resale tickets...

Men and Women, we may be going to "sold out" U2 shows with tons of empty seats!!!

Oh well... maybe on my nose bleed seats I will do it old school like I did in high school and sneak into the front sections.

Apologies for my ignorance, but is there a specific point being made here?

There are expensive upper level seats still available which may be difficult to sell and could remain empty by show time. I think that's the point being made.

1. I doubt the band or venue cares too much about a few over-priced nosebleed seats not selling immediately--especially considering how many over-priced tickets they DID sell.

2.  They could very well end up selling before the show anyway.

Surprisingly though, there are a lot of $95 and $65 priced seats still available for Boston 4 and Chicago 4 that went on sell today. Those should have all been sold in the first hour based on what happened on the last three tours.

Well, based on how they announced and sold each pair of dates, it seems maybe they've maxed out the market then. At some point, everyone who wants to go has bought a ticket.

I noticed that they definitely tweaked some of the prices for MSG tix downward for the two shows on sale today, many seats that were at $312 face+fees for the shows on sale last week were priced at $118 for the shows on sale today.
