Well it wasn't just the elbow that was shattered remember.  The pinky finger on that hand was broken in I think 3 places?  Even if he has no loss of motion in the shoulder or elbow, the pinky could put a bit of a damper on forming chords wouldn't you think?  I know nothing about playing guitar but it seems to me it would be a problem.

Reading this I am reminded just how intelligent Bono is as well as witty.

Gotta love the internet.

When I read it, I was wondering just how many he'd had of the percocet.

What a wonderful New Years gift from Bono. Thank you and get well soon. See you in Phoenix!

Was hoping to see U2 perform at the Grammies, and sad that we won't get to see Bono until the tour, but excited that I will be at the tour's opener in Vancouver, in the redzone, and it will make it that much more amazing seeing Bono for the first time since before the accident.

I think he is being overly dramatic when he says that he will never play guitar again.

But dead on when he said nobody would be bothered!

Great read!  Quite an effort to put it together.  Seems he's been reading forums in his down time.?.  Ali is a saint.

I suspect he is actually planning on legitimately working his ass off to be tip top by the time opening night arrives. We shall soon see.

Hopefully...I've got tix for all California shows and wouldn't be surprised if the dates are postponed due to Bono's recovery.

This was a fantastic read. Deeply personal. I think being layed up can put you in a reflective mood. I was shocked he shared the pic of the kids. All the band members have tried to keep the kids faces out of the media but Bono seems to be more open about his kids than the other 3. The boys have grown and matured so much! The kids are all very handsome/beautiful.

Oh, that would be lovely. His writing voice is so conversational and intimate. There's a lot going on inside his head and his heart, and he's such a positive force.

That was a great read- it's times like these that I remember how much I appreciate Bono as a human. He has a great way with words. Also it seemed pretty encouraging tour-wise... :)
