Any love for the songs Boomerang I and Boomerang II? Just heard for the first time tonight and was wondering how people here liked it. Thoughts?

Boomerang II is where it's at. I listened to it today actually. Reminds me a bit of "Indian Summer Sky" which isn't absurd considering they came from the same recording era.

The first U2 release I ever owned was the Pride mini-cassette with both Boomerangs. I loved those songs then and love them just as much now. Larry found the funk for those tunes.

Too bad Bono's just mumbling the whole time! If you go to the song on U2's website it just says "No lyrics on this track." Kinda weird.

Honestly, if boomerang 1 was any good, they wouldn't have needed boomerang II.

I'm a fan of the vocal 'Boomerang', it's one of U2's best B-sides. I also like the instrumental one, but it sounds a tad unfinished...

I like them, and have since I first bought the Pride CD single back in the early 90's.  I think the band lost interest in them when they realized that Eno was maybe inadvertently creating a Talking Heads-ish track.
