So... Who's opening?

Either I haven't been paying attention or we are 4 days away from a new U2 tour and no opening bands have been announced.

It sure looks like there won't be any opening acts this tour.

Yeah, it appears so.. Kind of a bummer since they are always bringing great acts with them to warm up the crowd (Muse, Interpol, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon are some great ones I've got to witness.) I obviously purchased my tickets to see the main event but a nice "warm up" always helps to get the energy going.

Totally, I got to see Lenny Kravitz. Awesome opener. But if they have something planned that doesn't allow for openers that's fine by me.

RATM was my favorite opener. But they also subjected us to Dashboard Confessional.

No opener is fine by me.

Let's not forget PJ Harvey...I couldn't stand her.  I hope I don't offend anyone who does.  She's just not my cup of tea.  Snow Patrol was quite awesome though.

Snow patrol > PJ Harvey?

Sorry buy that just don't sit right with me, but there you go...

No opener if it is the case is a bit of a Shi**er if u2 just come out and play a normal length show...if they don't and they play a longer set then ok fair do's - although i do enjoy seeing the other bands.

I have a feeling that the 'support shown  may be some kind of filmed thing played on the screens, like a documentary style thing...

I've seen RATM, Smashmouth, PJ Harvey, Nelly Furtado, Muse and Florence + The Machine open for U2. Good stuff.

I'm actually happy that there's no opener.

I've seen great ones like Muse, OK ones like KOL, and Damian Marley (loved the dude who's only job was to wave a Jamaican flag), and dreadful ones like PJ Harvey (my wife cringed as PJ Harvey's shrill cackling bounced off the poor acoustics of Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh), Interpol, and Fun Lovin' Criminals (deserving of their own level of dreadfulness).
