USA dates in 2016?
« on: June 28, 2015, 12:00:35 AM »
I saw them at Chicago #2 show, amazing, probably my favorite u2 concert yet.  I live in Nashville... since their USA cities were so limited you think they will come back in 2016 and do southeast cities?   And forgive me if this has been covered.
Thanks!

I'm counting on that but didn't want to take the chance so went ahead and did Chicago just in case.  I figure I'll get to see them twice like I did on 360.

Bono said in an interview with WMMR in Philadelphia when SOI was released that the upcoming tour would stop in Philadelphia. Have to believe that they'll come through.  In the mean time there's no way I was missing this year. Luckily I'm not too far from NYC.

This time around they have completely ignored anything in my area. . . DC, Philly, Baltimore. etc.  Hoping they remember us next leg.

Yep, they'll be back. The question is, will it be stadiums or arenas for North America next year? I've heard that they were planning stadiums for 2016, but due to lower than expected demand they may stick to arenas for North America.

I'm hoping to see the boys in 2016 in Oz or maybe Europe. It'll be stadiums for those legs I'm sure, so I've got to make the most of these arena shows (I have tickets to 4 European shows), as I've never seen the band perform indoors.

Omaha  or Lincoln, Nebraska, or Kansas City or Minneapolis, please? Or all of them? :)

lj, in the event that happens I am happy to do an AIRBNB reciprocation with you. . . .;)

You stay here for Balt, Philly, DC and I come to you for the rest?

You're on! I have no U2 room, though.

I'd love both Omaha and Lincoln. I'd probably make a road trip to KC as well.

I'm hoping for a stripped-down stadium run myself. If they insist on a heavy visual element, they can still do that with a relatively small stage, like Pink Floyd did with The Division Bell.

Anywhere in an SEC state and I'm there but couldn't take the chance and Chicago was awesome.   I hope it is arena again... so intimate... I'm contemplating trying GA next time, never have before.

Yes but you have glitter. . . next best thing! And of course, you. Even better than the real thing!

If I were to venture a guess, each city they visited on this leg will get at least one show and places like Seattle, Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, Dallas, DC, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Detroit will get a show.
