Boots is wickedly good live, and I'd like to see it dusted off once or twice just to stick it to the haters.

How bitter sounding...

the song is trash on album, good live, and the foow mix is the best version. I GUESS I'd rather hear it than a few 80s songs.

If it appears randomly, I won't mind. I'd take it over Elevation at this stage.

I'd take a cover of frère Jacques over Elevation.

I'd much rather hear a rarity but if they intend to keep playing stuck I'd much rather hear Boots.

This piano stuck is much boring. Bring back the studio/elevation show version, that would make it much bette

Get rid of stuck altogether. It's the only way.

Why are they so determined to play this song at almost every opportunity?

They've played it like three times on this tour (if that).

Fair call. To this point though, they trotted it out over years of TV appearances when it never really cut through.

Not interested in Boots, but I would love to hear that busker version of No Line on the Horizon that I think they only played once on the 360 tour: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.  They could go ahead and replace EBTTRT with Magnificent too.

Anyways most of the hatin' for stuck seems to come from the big fan. So when they play it and they see people singing back and don't mind they must be like hey this is not bad we should keep it

If I was forced to find some way to put Boots into the show, this wouldn't be too bad an idea.

Regarding feelings about Mysterious Ways: my opinion on its place in the show changed when I saw it live. Specifically, saw it close enough that I could feel the joy radiating off Adam and The Edge while they played. If they get that much pleasure from playing a deeper cut and from seeing the vast majority of the crowd having a blast from said deeper cut (which is probably a major part of that enjoyment for them), by all means switch MW out. I just don't think that's gonna happen.

Boots gets too much hate in my view.

Ok it isn't a very good song, but I believe it was a good idea just badly executed.....There is experimental intent in there and some pretty cool sounds, it's just u2 have become middle aged men who have lost their ear for edgy and it ended up being clunky like pretty much all their 'rockier' songs post Pop.

But at least with boots there is something different there, the let me in the sound part is pretty good, it's let down badly by the lyrics and the sound of the verses.

There is some quite dirty guitar work around the chorus and if you compare it to banal sh**e like elevation for example it's much better...it of course isn't as easy to get as elevation so a bit like Pop people rubbish it...

U2 have many worse songs in their post Pop cannon than boots, it did sort of kick ar*e live as well at times.

The verses sound needed fattening and roughing up a bit, the lyrics are bad in places but sonically I like it's intent and some of what it delivers.

It's a jarring song I suppose with an experimental heart and the bones of a pretty cool idea that 20 years ago I reckon they would have worked into a great tune.

I'd like to see Boots come back from time to time.  I get defensive of that song because I think it's underrated, but it's hardly my favorite.  Personally I'd like them to retire WOWY but with all the "Shine Like Stars" love going around lately I guess that's unlikely....
