Yep, why not? I've gone to concerts alone in the past. It's definitely better than going with someone who's not really interested.

One of my ie shows was a last minute thing and I went on my own. Had a great time. Definitely would do it again if needed.

Yes, I would and have in the past. Bought one seat up high, talked with the guy next to me a bit and saw a great show!

I have because among my circle of loved ones only I am the "big fan", going to do it again this week at MSG, but I'm sure I'll make some friends when I'm there!

Yes, I went to the Denver concert on June 6th and had a great time! It's too bad that a number of people around me brought along friends who weren't really that interested in being there- but there's always the possibility that they left wanting to learn more about U2 and start listening to a lot of their music. We can hope...

I think I would, but i also think I would try real hard to connect with someone (like through the forum) to hang out with.

Why not?  I've been to plenty of shows alone (though not U2).

Rush (x3)
Kraftwerk
David Bowie
Roger Waters
David Gilmour
Depeche Mode

All very enjoyable.

I'd add my opinion to all the others: yes!! I saw U2 live for the first time on the 360 tour (I've been a fan since POP but it wasn't in the cards for me to see them until 2009 I guess) and I went on my own. SOOO much fun!!!

Going with someone who isn't really interested is grim.

I went with my then girlfriend now wife to 360 in Dublin and she just sat pretty unimpressed all the way through.....tempers your own enthusiasm a little, although the sub par performance on the night didn't help either.

I felt a bit daft after I had told her how u2 live were a fearsome proposition and how the atmosphere and the show would blast away any reservations she had....her comments after the show 'i just don't get it, was pretty dull really'

I would be more likely to do it in a city I was familiar with. If I hadn't had concert buddies in Chicago, I would probably still be wandering around the city lost.

Have done it three times and doing it twice more this year. I preferred it when I had friends to go with, but on the plus side I don't have to worry about what anyone else wants to do.

I've done 4 shows in the past alone and had the time of my life. Apologies to the husband, but those shows were special, and will never be forgotten (and 2 of them I was front row!)

I don't know.  what would people say? they might point at me and laugh at me.  they might think I have no mates and that I'm a bit of a weirdo and I'd wonder what the hell am I doing here and think that I don't belong here
