Thanks a bunch for posting that, a friend had rung me earlier as he had got the actual magazine, must get it myself later.

Had already booked accommadation for Dublin over a month ago, but have added one more day as will be standing for the first gig,so need to be up early that morning.

For anyone else going to see them in Dublin, get your accommadation booked now as the prices have increased dramatically in some cases, and some hotels are already booked out.

i flew from DC to Ireland in 2005 to see them at Croke Park.  We were running around Ireland for a few days prior to the show but we could not find a hotel room for the night of the show.  We were flying to London the following morning early (7am) and had to spend the 8 hour interim drinking at Temple Bar and sleeping in the car at the airport parking lot.

book early!

For European dates,  big gigs rarely go onsale on a Saturday or Sunday which are the dates above, so someone hasn't done their homework !

I think they may do this because they think it would maximise sales. Slane 1 went on sale on a Saturday morning, but you're right it isn't the norm.

Found it, the Sunday Mail, they also say Friday March 20th for the onsale! Which probably gives an indication to the onsale of other shows too.

Hampden IS the 18th August, heard also that London is looking like Sat Aug 15th and most definitely two dates , so that would make it the Sunday 16th too.
This would be identical to Vertigo where they did Sat/Sun in London then moved up to Glasgow for the Tues.

Bah! If that's the case, there goes my plan to see them in Dublin and the UK. No way I can swing 3 weeks + away from work. At least not if I want to see a few fall US shows, too.  Then again, maybe I could skip Dublin and just do UK shows, which coincides with the premier league opening weekend.  Hmmmmm...

How are they going to play 25 outdoor shows in the US from September-December? Are they only playing the South and California?
