Go to your local Walmart and check out how most mid-50s men are aging. Bono is doing great. He appears to be working at staying in shape, his voice sounds great, and all in all is aging gracefully. I hope he continues to let himself look older, because it's creepy to me when people don't let themselves age.

hell, just look at Krist Novoselic these days.

I'll admit to having to google who that is. But looking at his pics, I'm not sure if you think he's aging well or not.

The lines on your face are a map to your soul.

Or something like that.

that is just beautiful

I think so too.

Plus, some people are very expressive with their facial muscles, gestures and it is natural for them to get deep expression lines.  I don't find this unattractive at all.  Just the opposite.  It gives the face more character and is beautiful, especially for black and white photo portraits.

Someone in another thread mentioned that Bono looks like he aged 10 years minimum since last Nov (because of the bike wreck). I personally think he's performing in a pretty athletic to-the-wall way, but I think the bike-aged-bono theory is probably right.

Go back and watch the "under the Brooklyn bridge" special from HTDAAB era. Then go watch Bono at Glastonbury followed by Bono on the European MTV awards (or whatever it was) last year. I submit there was a bigger leap from last year to this than from Vertigo to 360.

Is this something that will get better with continued recovery.

Hi,

I am in Bono's age group and can tell you that people age more quickly between fifty and sixty, than younger decades.  Age fifty for me, no wrinkles and no gray hair.  I'm almost sixty.  I have a few expression lines and some silver strands.  It's just the way life is.   :)

You're right Inish, just the way like goes....you cant look 20 or 30 forever....
I think he looks great myself, in the video on the tonight show where the band is
sitting on the side chairs and they sing acoustic every breaking wave, i love how
Bono looks and the rest of them...pretty good shape for working hard since the 70s..

I think he does too.  I don't like when celebs get "too much work done."  It looks like a freakish mask.  Bono and everyone else in his age group have earned their "character."  It's lines of worry, laughter, love and wisdom.  The story of a life.  Not a bad thing at all.  Just ask your kids and grand kids if you have them.

I am of the opinion that he's ageing pretty bad too, but he never took care of himself until recent years. Booze, cigarettes and lack of sleep had been a constant for decades. Even Edge said to him that he sees his body as an "inconvenience". Compared to his bandmates, he looks 10 years older.

There are pictures where he looks just fine to me. We all look tired and crap after a gig and going out with friends. But yes, he loves life.

On at least two occasions last year I was right next to Bono. No stage lights. No make up.  And he looked just fine.

I don't know this story...... :D :D :D :D

Bono looks fine.... I have aged along side with him just like most of us here who are the same age as him. He has had his share of accidents, and has bounced back great. Truly admire him.

Same here

For the younger folks.  Just look at your parents and it will give you a good idea of how you will look.  When, you are their present age.   Bono is from the Baby Boomer generation and we were physically active.  We still are.   Gaming, computers, cell phones didn't exist.  We enjoyed other activities such as dance, roller skating, bike riding, sports, swimming and etc.  We were more social.
