Can we edit out Bono's inevitable French speeches?

Am I the only one who hates Hamish Hamilton's style of directing? Scatterbomb approach! More camera angle changes than F1 in fast forward.
No, so imagine my disappointment when his name showed up:-(

Will this be shown in Canada?  HBO Canada never shows anything live

I agree with you.  Not a fan of the quick cuts.  gives me a headache.  They should go back to whoever filmed the Zoo Tv Sydney and Popmart DVD's.  Those were easy to watch, nicely filmed.

Like I think someone mentioned earlier in the thread, you no longer need cable to get HBO.  They have HBO NOW that you can subscribe via your smart device as long as you have internet service to stream thru.  Looks like there is a 30 day free trial, could not find out online anyway, if the is a commitment to keep or any cancellation fees.

I still think he's better than the guy that directed the Rose Bowl show.
That's the worst camera work I've ever seen for concert footage. Camera constantly changed every second, makes you feel sick!

Hamish Hamilton is a brilliant director. Check out the cinematic quality of the dolly shot from Bad/40/Streets from Boston. Having said that, I really like the rattle and hum concert footage.

Bring in someone who is super cutting edge and has a unique style. Like Michael Gondry.

Could live with that if the colors weren't fully saturated for the entire show.

He directed a Duran Duran concert. If you want to watch a straight up DD concert, that was not the video for you, but it was an interesting art piece that went along with their music.
