Eh she shouldn't have said what she said.

Kinda like a guest coming into your house for dinner and complaining that the food you served them is crap.

If you're referring to me, yes, they are.

No I wasn't....I make it a sort of forum rule of mine not to converse with you if i can help it.

It was a general observation on the thread.

Well, the rule shall flow both ways from this day forward.

She seemed drunk to me. Not surprising when the firefighters were handing out cups of Jameson.

She's lucky her full name isn't public.

I don't think she should have said what she said.

However, people really need to get thicker skins. Other places get routinely insulted much worse than that, even by people who have never even been to the place in question.

Okay, I've finally heard it instead of just reading about it. Her only excuse and I do mean only is that she's a terrible standup comic who badly misread the crowd.

But I'm gonna go with whiny, nasal-voiced, self-absorbed b***h instead.

I'm from New York. She called 911 because she got there first with her phone. End of. She can chill the hell out now.

Exactly!!  As I said in another thread, any other person there would have called 911, she just got there first.  Do people really think New Yorkers just walk on by and ignore some one who needs help?  I can tell you from experience, that's not the way it is!

maybe it depends on whether the person who needs assistance is famous or not.  I bet most New Yorkers would virtually step over other people in the street is they looked down and out.  and I'm surprised the woman who assisted bono doesn't go to court and seek a percentage of his future earnings for past services.

It depends on the situation.  If someone falls or gets hurt of course we're gonna help, that being said, I was walking down a street in midtown and there was a supposed homeless person asking for help, who then proceeded to whip out a cell phone and have a conversation.  You bet I walked right by!

Personally I find New Yorkers, while maybe loud and rude, would take a baseball bat to someone who attacked you.....

Homeless people can't have cellphones now? They give them away free to people who are on  limited income.  It makes it easier for them to coordinate with social services and job call backs.  But maybe you're right; he could have sold his cellphone and bought himself an apartment in Manhattan because they are worth about the same, I'm sure.

The booing on the Youtube vid doesn't sound too bad - in person it seemed much, much louder. It was pretty cringe worthy, for sure.
