Even though my home town just got 8 shows, I'm still gonna have to say no.  Sorry :(

They last played Liverpool in 1826 so the answer would be a definite NO from me.

Manchester's an hour up the road. Cmon...

London's barely 3hrs on the train.

what did bono have to say about the slave trade?

He said 'Free our brothers - every man is born equal and FREE' and we said 'When are you going to play Acrobat?'.

Yep, don't know why more people don't emigrate there...

It's like paradise.

I already am. They're playing six shows in my nearest big town (London). Instead of doing all 6 in London, we've chosen the opening two in Turin, and nights 3,5,6 in London, before the two in Glasgow.

So with this talk of 2nd legs in North America, a trip to Europe about to start, possible tours to Australia and maybe even South America, it got me thinking about a hypothetical.

All of these places have been visited multiple times.

Would you forego a show in your own city if it meant U2 would play somewhere they had never played?

In my case, would I be prepared to sacrifice a show in Melbourne if it meant the band could instead play a show in Singapore? Or Beijing? Or Vladivostok?

I don't get to go. I can't go to any other city as let's say I'm skint. But others do, others who have never seen them.

I've seen them multiple times, over multiple tours.

And I think I probably would. But I'd have to think about it before signing...

So - would you?

Hmm, I don't know.
You've seen the band multiple times and I think that makes it easier for you.
But what if you're a big U2 fan, you've never been to a concert, the band is in your city, you have the money and you really want to go, but you have to choose:
Would you still make that 'sacrifice' ?

Probably not, no. You take your own circumstances into account I guess.

Yes! There's a gorgeous new stadium in Delhi, fellas (opened a few years ago for the Commonwealth Games)- get your asses over there! And hit Dubai, Singapore, South Korea and the Philippines while y'all are at it!

Only if they were playing concerts in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, & a follow up concert in Tel Aviv.

^ I don't think they're ever gonna get to play China. Tibetan Freedom show and all that.

I'd love to see U2 do a sweep across northern Africa to the Far East - from Tripoli to Tokyo. Cairo, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Ramallah, Tehran - they could all be stops on the way to Dubai, and from there the Indian subcontinent awaits.  :D

It'll never happen, though.  :/

That's true - along with Russia. Russia - that nutter Putin and the war-mongering generals. Nothing against the people or that very sexy accent (the females obviously), but man, they're a dangerous c***-ry.

Flip - forgot about that, but wasn't there a bit of trouble?

Anyhoo - feck Putin and I hope the lads play the Ukraine (or what's left of it)!
