As you can see, there is a small MacPhisto image on the end of the megaphone Bono uses during the show. Is this just there for fun or do you think this has a deeper meaning?

Hmmmmm.......interesting. I know it's not going to happen, but just imagine that U2 will use a hologram of McPhisto for a short moment and Bono talking to him about the old days...... that would be so nice with a bigger stadium tour.
But forget the past, i think it's a cute reference to a great alter ego.

I'll try when i'm in Amsterdam. We are going to the hotel. It's a great question to ask him.
But it will be crowded there.

That is funny... but he did not do the megaphone on the shows I saw.  What was he saying there?  What show/shows were these?

He used the megaphone at NYC 1 & 2 as well.  Sang most of Bullet through the megaphone, instead of using the microphone, and talked through a good portion of the Bullet speech.

interesting.... so is this Bono being pro-American?  or taking a swipe at the USA (since he used it during BTBS and presumably the Hands Up speech he was doing...)???

This should be the album cover of Songs of Experience.....an American flag megaphone with cartoon Macphisto at the end. I caught a Pop vibe from this too...remember his American flag umbrella?

Indeed - the one that "MacPhisto" played with at the St Louis show. :)
