VIP Travel Package
« on: September 14, 2015, 04:55:44 PM »
Has anyone gone to a show this tour through one of these packages? Is it worth it? I'm feeling a little crazy, and I might just go for it for one of the Dublin shows. I just couldn't make myself get up at 1 AM to buy tickets. Anyone think there's a possibility of more tickets being released over time?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I'm curious to hear about this too.  I might have bought one of these (hangs head in shame!!).  I have a GA for one night but for the last night wanted to take my mom and have a great seat.  It's a long story.

Anyway . . . would love to hear if anyone has done this.  I'm very curious which hotel it would be.  I am already booked at the Gibson and would love not to have to leave there for the last night.  :)

I am curious to know how much is it costing to go to Ireland to see a show. I am not rich by far are you looking at 3,000 for a couple of nights or less? I am talking from North America I live in Canada.

The VIP travel package for Dublin is 995 Euros x 2 inclusive of hotel and tickets with some extras. Crazy expensive, yes, but at a certain point today it was running neck and neck price wise with many scalpers' tickets which did not include hotel and were worse seats. Seats offered were the first row of the seated area or two rows back in the a and g sections of 3Arena.

My GA seat was 70 Euros, thank God. Flights are half what they are in the summer and lodging is reasonable to me. (I live on the east coaat of the US though.)

According to U2.com, this is the package:

U2 TOUR 2015 VIP TRAVEL PACKAGE
Premium reserved price level 1 ticket guaranteed within the first 15 rows
Exceptional hotel accommodations
Shuttle transportation from hotel to U2 show and return
Private pre-show reception with hors d'oeuvre & bar (beer & wine)
Exclusive U2 VIP Travel Package gift, not available to general public
VIP entrance into the concert
Official U2 laminate
Dedicated VIP hotel check in with travel concierge
Entry into a drawing for a pre show backstage tour
Limited availability

You have to buy in pairs. I think it's about 2100 euro for the pair. No flights included. I'd be flying from Las Vegas, so not cheap...but...I really want to go! :)

I was thinking about it too, money is not so much the issue, but convincing the wife is another story. Wish I could buy just one.
Coming from Philly.
