It is all opinions and hey I like stating mine!

But as someone who was there i can honestly say it was a good performance in my book of what isn't a very good song really - but it sounded good, band were punchy and it went down a storm.

that's awesome.  I wish I were in London for these shows TBH... I loved the openers back in May but it sounds like they are really on form...

Patti Smith is a legend, so glad to hear that she was on and well received.

I posted a vid earlier in thread....don't know if you have seen it, but it comes across alright on there.

just saw it... outstanding!  enjoy the show tonight.... wish I could grab a pint with you and anyone else enjoying the gig!

The fact the the BEP, a terrible 'band', were better as an opener than PS simply speaks to how bad she was that night.  I made this clear in my post, maybe you can read it again and see if you can comprehend it...

I'm just gonna take to drink. And develop an obsession with women wearing cat ears. Trouble brewing especially in Halloween week.

I watched the youtube video and I thought it was great.

Edge seemed to even go to A Sort of Homecoming at one point during "People"

Yes, definitely. It's really horrible, isn't it?

And the better the gig, the worse the come down ... 23 years of watching them & I still haven't found a solution!

It's like you have a U2 fever, and the only cure, is more U2.

So I'll just explain it to the family as a health concern and medical treatment. Check! ;)

I know. I've never done more than 2 gigs on any one tour before. But I'm starting to understand these obsessives now who follow them around to multiple shows. It's like a drug, definitely.

Never been excited by Patti Smith's music, but thought that last song was a fine way to finish off Thursday's show, it certainly didn't ruin it. If I'd been that upset about a song, I would have just left.
