Well, Bono is a master in channeling emotions. It struck me as I watched the Paris concert on TV that he lets himself be so emotionally involved in every part of the show, every song. Of course, he is an artist, an actor as well, but it sure doesn't look fake to me. It must be very exhausting going through that huge spectre of intense emotions for two straight hours every other night. Respect!

Back to the real question of the thread: The belting on A sort of homecoming, Heartland, Bad and Hawkmoom is so powerful! And the sadness of SYCMIOYO, Kite and Wake up dead man can bring me to tears.

True, but that isn't a studio song.

I think this is the peak of Bono's voice of his entire career.

And this is a seriously forgotten jam too I think:

Two Shots of Happy One Shot of Sad.

   I did.
There is some footage of the recording of Pride, where Bono is going way overboard. I think it was Lanois, or possibly Eno, who says to Bono, something like, that was ok, but could you try it with a little more emotion. It was quiet funny.

Yeah, that was in From The Sky Down. "Could you maybe stand up for this one, Bono?"  :)
