Bono's Most Emotional singing on a Studio Song
« on: November 08, 2015, 04:03:18 PM »
Bono sings very passionately on most U2 songs. But three that stick out the me are one tree hill, ultraviolet, and moment of surrender.

I agree with Please and One Tree Hill, I'd also add Acrobat to that list.

Sometimes you can't make it on your own - I don't understand why this song isn't more appreciated here on the forum. Bonos vocal is epic and the subject matter highly emotive. Check out this performance from Milan :

I don't know if it's the most emotional but the raw power and enthusiasm on A Sort of Homecoming blows me away every time.

Oh acrobat, is a song that has everything but sadly always gets neglected.

If you're talking emotionally SAD, One Tree Hill is the winner. The first chorus especially - "You run like a river, oh, to the sea..." - and then at the end when his voice catches as he's shout-singing the repeated "rainin'" lines. Please is a close second.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Bad yet.
It's not quite what it is live in studio but it's still pretty emotional.
