It's too bad that Paris didn't get 40, but the band will make it up to them.

Those make up shows when they happen will be phenomenal.

Yeah, good gig as ever. Not up there with Glasgow 2 but that's asking a lot.

Still and all I thought a lot of the crowd were quite passive and not really into it until Streets/Pride then it kinda dipped again until Beautiful Day.

Maybe it was just where I was stood but in general I thought - perhaps as a consequence of the ticket prices - it was an older, reasonably affluent crowd, not many band t-shirts and not much passion and energy.

I am wondering if it could be as a result of the Paris situation that people are feeling a bit disheartened by it all. I know I would be.

i think you've hit the nail on the head there. i couldnt afford the tickets when they were released on sale, it was a bad part of the month for them being on sale for a start. i'm probably one of the biggest die-hard u2 fans i know, and couldn't make it. i'm sure there were a lot of people in the same boat. i'm sure it was generally a fairly casual crowd who attended.

Edit: just watched a lot of the videos from both nights on youtube and the crowd looked well up for it, and the band were on fire, so I take back what I said above. Gutted I couldn't make it. Next time.

the Paris crowds were also pretty lame... and that was before the terrible incidents...

Was at the show last night. It was incredible from start to finish. Went to London 2 as well which was great but last night was much more intense. I was in North tier in the middle seats and had an amazing view of the entire thing. I am not sure what concert some people were at but the place was bouncing most if the night. People were jumping and clapping all night. I have some great videos on my phone.  The band were on fire all night and trust me when I say it the fans were loving it. I have been to all tours since popmart and I liked this one the best. Wish I was going again to Dublin to experience this mind blowing show again. I also met BONO briefly before the show which was a bonus. Long live the greatest band who ever. I love this band and salute how truly amazing they are.
