I was surprised that Adam wrote 'God bless', I'd always thought he, although spiritual, was the aetheist in the group.
I don't know for sure (obviously) but I read somewhere that when he went through rehab for his alcohol abuse, he became a person of faith. Who knows? I hope so!
I believe I heard Bono say that Adam was one of the most spiritual persons he knew, and that he was a man of God, even if it took him a long route to get there.  I suspect Adam's autobiography would be one of the more interesting of the band members.

I agree...he went from the "bad boy" of the band to the man of the year, in my book anyway.

Kind of liked that there was one non religious member of the band.. pretty sure he's still atheist. He's more likely to be referring to him finding peace within an inner dimension or something...

Probably hanging around the other three all of these years had a strong effect....how could it not?

Sometimes people get more religious or back to religion in some form as they get older.

Adam has had over 20 years of sobriety.

He's more than likely found a God of his understanding.

A few songs for a new compilation or a new movie may well be a possible release in 2016. I guess everbody would be happy with it.

I'd even be happy with an EP or a couple stand-alone singles. The band doesn't do those very often, which kind of baffles me.

They are very rigid..

Album, mega tour, album...and repeat.

With the odd deviation over time.

I have never understood why they haven't thrown out a single or ep from nowhere as such or just gone out on a tour for 3 months without it being a part of the usual cycle or just announcing a handful of shows etc.

Everything is so calculated/controlled.

For a band who have of course done many great things they are probably one of the least spontaneous and most controlled bands in history.

Well, being the worlds greatest rock band is more of a business now.

There's a rumor they were all ready to release, but at the 11th hour, Bono said they "hit a rich songwriting vein", so....probably 2020. ;)

I said they don't do them very often. "Invisible" was great simply because it was so out of the ordinary for them, as was "Ordinary Love". I'd like to see them do things like that more often.

One could make the argument Invisible was the beginning of the same album/tour cycle. The rumor was this was to be the first single of the Danger Mouse album, but due to the tepid reaction they got scared and went back to work bringing in Epworth and Tedder.
Shame.
