i just saw Green Day and man oh man. the gauntlet for concerts in 2017 has been thrown DOWN. that was unreal. so much energy so many songs covering their ENTIRE career. that was easily one of the best live bands ive ever seen. still in concert euphoria.

Sounds like a great show. Never have been a huge fan of theirs, but I have an appreciation for their earlier albums and American Idiot. Nice to hear they've still got it.

Meanwhile, I'm just waiting for my next concert in May....

yea the new one aint that great. and i didn't hear the Uno Dos Tre stuff. my favs are Nimrod, Warning and AI. but none of that mattered! that was whirlwind of energy. the only complaint was that he "played up" the audience to much or whatever you call it doing the call and response stuff. derailed a few songs for a few minutes to long but that hardly made the show bad. even gave his guitar to a young girl who knew how to play it during a song she was brought up on stage to play.

I saw them back in 2009. Fantastic show, if I didn't have so many other shows this year, I would go again.

Just got tix for Depeche Mode, and managed to get decent (not great) seats without opting for the expensive VIP package.  So let's see:

The Time/Sheila E.
Jean-Michel Jarre
U2
Metallica
Depeche Mode

I'm also debating now on Hall & Oates/Tears for Fears.  This year is shaping up to be the biggest concert year for me in a while.

Detroit's a Saturday night...in a venue that only holds 1,000. Can probably forget about getting tix for that.

Added Tears for Fears/Hall and Oates.  This year is getting to be the biggest concert year (and most expensive for concerts) in a long, long time.

Bah! No US dates. Haven't seen Eddie or PJ since 2014, kind of itching for another show.
