Including the 3 cities with 2 concerts & a stop at Bonnaroo, U2 has scheduled 20 concerts between May 12th & July 1st.  Is anyone surprised by which cities so far have not gotten 2nd dates yet?  Not surprisingly Los Angeles, Chicago & New York (East Rutherford) each got a 2nd concert but, I'm surprised Boston & Toronto so far only have 1 concert each.

Does anyone find that odd?  I always thought Massachusetts & Toronto were very strong, reliable U2 fan bases.

They are VERY strong fan bases. But the general populations are LOTS smaller than NY or LA.

Boston and NY aren't that far apart, so since NY already got a second concert, I'm not surprised they're not adding another to Boston. It's like Cleveland and Chicago--Chicago got a second concert, Cleveland is not getting another (and they're about 4.5 hours apart).

Well, they are still coming back to tour the next album. They probably want to keep up demand for their live shows.

Doubtful they'll hit up the big cities again. Probably the cities next door.

Ah, Waffles, don't say that. If they don't go back to Phoenix for SOE, I'll, well, I'll jump in the river without my swimmies and sink to the bottom never to be seen again.

There's no chance they'd skip the NY, Chicago or LA, etc. markets. Unless it was something small and special like a club tour, and even then I'd doubt it.

They have not released all the dates. From my source Phx, Glendale actually, will get a weekday date.

No. Expect a more intensive schedule next time behind SOE in arenas. This is like a little bonus run. I'm actually surprised they are playing as many cities as they are.

Any further info? I've also heard about the rumored Vegas show, but no one seems to know where they're coming from.

Montréal has a large fan base but no stadium's. I have no ticket for JT I am hoping they add a 2nd show so I can try to get a ticket. Only 2 shows in Canada that hurts bad.....

I haven't heard of anything concerning Vegas but the Phoenix show should fall between the Dallas, May 26th and the Detroit show, May 31st at the stadium in Glendale mostly likely that Monday.

They only played in Boston and Toronto about a year and half ago. They played six gigs in those two cities gigs so the market is saturated.

Montreal has to get its stadium act together.

Its pretty standard that they play 20 stadium shows on a North American tour.
