Extra musicians on stage

Does anyone think that Terry Lawless, the keyboard player on NLOTH, will accompany the band on tour and perform on stage?

I'll take the easy answer: no. Given their history on tour ,then not likely at all. That being said, lots of groups (especially as they get along in years), eventually add some other performers(background vocals, percussion, keys..whatever), just to lighten the load if nothing else.

Sure, why not? R.E.M.'s been doing it since the '80s, and it hasn't hurt them. Muse does pretty well by it as well.

He already is on tour with them, whether he will  be hidden or not is the question. Watch the show at Radio One you can seem lurking behind a speaker stack! But I'm sure U2 are very conscious of breaking the iconic image of just the four of them on stage.
On the last tour he was below the stage for songs like OOTS.

There's a lot of keyboards being played on NLOTH so I'm guessing he'll be under the stage to provide the keyboards.

I prefer him out of view, I only want to see the four of them on stage. Just too weird for them to have a fifth member.

U2 will do as they always do in all likelihood with keys. Two words: backing track.

Personally after having been watching U2 live for about 28 years, I'd be all for a major change-up a la Pink Floyd type situation where they bring a whole backing crew.

Keyboard player, percussionist, extra guitar, female eye-candy backing singers, handclaps, the works.
