If weíre counting minor charts then no, it isnít the first since magnificent to reach Top 10. Best Thing was No. 1 on Alternative and I think No. 5 on Rock.

If you arenít listening to U2 remixes, youíre missing out a big part of U2ís history. The U2 x Cheatcodes mix isnít comparable to the original, but it is a serious ear worm and is definitely worth a listen.

Yeah it is a great remix. Better than the others released for this album cycle so far.

Is it released in the UK?  Not in the dance charts or the Irish general singles charts.

Never mind, I guess the article is talking specifically about the Dance Club chart. This isnít really a remix though, so much as a new song that samples the U2 song.

I stopped caring about the remixes after Lemon.  There's waaaaaay too many u2 remixes out there.

I disagree. I think that while there may be plenty of duds in the remix canon, even to this day some gems are out there. Beck's Lights of Home remix was outstanding, and Elevation's Tomb Raider and Influx remixes were also among some of my favorite entries in the U2 canon. Also, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that some of the TJT remixes that came out on the Super Deluxe 30th anniversary edition were pretty new, and some of those were absolutely spectacular.

Also, was the Junk Day remix of Dirty Day new for the Best of 1990-2000 album? That remix is a beast. Put that sucker on repeat!

The best ever U2 remix is, of course, the Perfecto remix of Lemon.

The Zooromancer remix of Salome is also ace.

Pretty sure it was first released as a b-side to the Please single.

I used to enjoy some of the remixes they put out through the 90's, but haven't really heard much since ATYCLB and the deluxe sets that really caught my attention.  For my money, the New Years Day remix from around the year 2000, featured on the War deluxe set, might be their best remix, period--and it was completely buried, as opposed to the more prominent remixes for Mysterious Ways, EBTTRT, etc.

I'm curious about these new ones, but that one featuring Kygo is terrible.

Agree, and agree.  Once upon a time, I had a buddy who made me a copy of his copy of Melon.  That was a great track 1 and track 2 punch.

Said friend also gave me an actual official CD copy of the Remixes single for "Even Better Than the Real Thing," of which the Perfecto and Sexy Dub Mixes were pretty special.
