They have had plenty of "interesting" mixes (Melon, Dirty Day--which was Garbage)...but some of the remixes being mentioned here are not dance/club. Yes, the perfecto mix of EBTTRT is a classi,...but no one's mentioning the Howie B and other mixes of Discotheque? I use to enjoy their remixes, both the dance and alternate versions, but Beautiful day and onwards, the mixes got to be generic "club" versions...

I dig remixes. When used in my spin class playlists, I can appeal to members who want a steady dance beat for aerobic training, and I get to hear U2!  Funny, the YouTube comments on U2’s page are largely negative or “meh”, while comments on Cheat Codes’ YouTube page are enthusiastic. They describe U2 in this recording as “old” or “dad’s music” while also embracing them for it.

Does this mean that they have now reached 'relevancy'?!

This is hilarious and absurd. Think of 1983 U2 and tell them they'll still be around in 2018, and their number one single will be on the dance chart.

Reactions to the news by 1983 U2:

Adam: Cool.

Bono: Did you say number one? It's not our first number one, though, right?

Edge: Hmm, I'll need to invest in some equipment, study back beats, layering, and distortion. Maybe I'll have to build my own keyboard and mixer add-ons. Radio Shack is having a sale on capacitors...

Larry: Are you f****** kidding me? I quit.

I don't think they would be like that. They actually did a dance remix of Two Hearts Beat As One back in 1983.

Two Hearts is very danceable...the lyrics are a big hint.

Elvis did a dance remix after he died, with JXL.  It's actually good.....

(sorry - edit because of grammar.  Elvis didn't die with JXL (they weren't at Graceland at the time as far as I'm aware...) - he died, with JXL...)

So exactly which remix version of Love is Bigger made it to #1?

If you aren’t listening to U2 remixes, you’re missing out a big part of U2’s history. The U2 x Cheatcodes mix isn’t comparable to the original, but it is a serious ear worm and is definitely worth a listen.
I stopped caring about the remixes after Lemon.  There's waaaaaay too many u2 remixes out there.

Take a listen to the Quincy & Sonance and Perfecto mixes of Beautiful Day, and the Jacknife Lee remixes of Vertigo.

Hmmm, a re-mix i've never heard of makes a top 10 list i've never heard of...

Welcome to life in 2018  :P
