Covers aren't U2's strong suit, so I expect to be a little disappointed, but still looking forward to it... Maybe they will surprise me and it will be great.

I heard U2's version of the song and it's kinda meh.

Yeah, it was a bit underwhelming for me.  I kept waiting for it to do...  something?  I did like Bono’s vocal delivery at first, but then kept waiting for it to do...  something else...? 

Now I know U2 aren’t known for their covers, but a few months ago I could “hear” a U2 version of this song in my head that excited me. This cover... ehhh... is unexciting for me, personally.

Yeah, Bono's voice is high in the mix and gravelly and the song never quite peaks or takes off. Also, on iTunes and Apple Music, the song is blocked for some reason in the US. Which means you can't even cherry pick it out of the album and grab it. Unless you are a huge T-Rex fan, I wouldn't get the album JUST for the U2 song.
