Hi Everybody!

I don't know if you've already seen or heard it, but Inhaler have released their first single and I think it's good anf especially because it reminds me of the early days of U2; you can definitely hear that Elijah is Bono's son.

I listened to the first song, "It Won't Always Be Like This". It has a stunning early 80s new wave sound. Sort reminds me of "Birds Fly(Whisper To A Scream) by the Icicle Works. Sounds great! They really nailed it with this one. It will be difficult though to get attention as rock music in general is not that popular anymore at least in the United States. In the last weeks HOT 100 songs in the United States, only 5 of the songs even remotely fit into the definition of rock music. Perhaps it will catch on in Europe and hopefully they will make enough money to continue doing this for a while or longer.

I was skeptical reading what this was, but man the songs are really good. I enjoyed all of them. Will definitely be checking for them.

I love their music. I love their retro 80's sound. They're doing a gig in nearby Cardiff, supporting Blossoms in June. I don't know much about Blossoms but I'm temped to get a ticket just to see Inhaler. Then again I'd be the oldest person there by a country mile, so I'd probably feel too self conscious! I don't know.

You should definitely go! I've seen you post about you can never get to a U2 show cause it's too expensive. Here's your opportunity to see a rock show you like and it will be a small, intimate venue and hopefully not very expensive.

I'm certainly tempted. It's just the thought of being the only old fogey amongst a crowd of teenagers that's making me hesitate! I'm going to see Garbage in July but they've been around for 25 years and so their fan base is much older, I won't feel so out of place!

I heard I Want You last year which I thought a bit meh but saw a couple of more songs now released, My Honest Face and There's No Other Place. These are really good. I hadn't heard It Wont Always Be Like This before but that is also really good. Am impressed. I don't think Elijah's voice is quite there but he is young so better not judge too soon. Probably would have said the same thing about Bono at that age. Their gigs must be pretty weird, with a bunch of teenagers/early 20s people and then 40s and 50 year olds hoping to see U2 Reinvented. Would be awesome to see someone like Joe O'Herily (spelling?) helping them out with the sound setup etc at a gig. Seems they are supporting Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds on some dates coming up. How cool. Well done Noel.

In the Radio X interview that Adam did, he said that he was happy to see Inhaler come on so well - compared to how they were rehearsing in the garden shed those years ago (thus spoke a man of experience!).
