Sunday Bloody Sunday - engagement rules

This is the place to discuss these aspects of the U2 world. Be warned - we will not tolerate hate language - likewise don't enter if you feel you are easily offended. This board will be monitored like all the rest - we will be revising the forum rules to accommodate this board. That said - the key theme within our rules is 'Dont Be a D**k' and works just as well in this area as well.

Just to reinforce what Kenny said, U2, politics, and religion are utterly intertwined. Nothing drives me more nuts as a U2 fan than hearing that U2 should just shut up with the politics and make music. So much of their best music comes from politics and religion! They're inherent parts of who U2 are. I would not be a fan of the band if they didn't focus so much on politics and religion. But we've had bad experiences with letting people say things without any responsibility or care for their fellow fans. So if you disagree, please disagree respectfully. If you argue, argue from a place of goodwill, generosity, and being productive. If you think what you might say would hurt a friend of yours if you said it to them, please use the same level of judgement with your fellow U2 fans. Just please please please don't be a d**k!
