I liked Bono's message better than the rendition of "Beautiful Day".  Bono is always so eloquent.  An America that hasn't yet been birthed....hmmm.  He gives you a lot to ponder.

Agreed. I liked the line about Lady Liberty being more of a flashlight in the face for Black Americans, rather than a beacon of hope.  I thought Beautiful Day being described as hope for the future gave me a bit of different perspective that how I thought about it in the past.  I thought the performance was good, it seemed to be moving for one of the performers or maybe he just had something in his eye :)
