limited chance
the weak aussie $ against the USD will make it hard
the cost of the tour will be high
so the price of tickets will be very high
u2 aren't a charity and although the US and Europe will get cheaper prices
it seems like a long shot that U2 will turn up in OZ and do the same

I honestly don't care how much tickets are (although <$200 would be great).

But, honestly, the MCG would be great for the new tour.

given the average price of tickets in EUR/USD and comparing that to the AUD it would be $150
MCG would be fantastic to see them, one of the best stadiums in the world
however, it maybe like the elevation tour when the AUD was too weak for them to tour here
but lets hope U2 turn off there blackberry's and not worry about counting there money just long enough and come to Oz!!

If the Aussie dollar is weak then won't that make it cheaper to take the whole travelling circus on the road in Australia? Costs should be proportionally lower - transport, hotels, food, local crew etc. (NB I'm not a business man so slap me if I'm being very silly.)

But the MCG would be perfect for the new stage design.

The MCG has since been redeveloped though and would sound very different to how it did in 1993.

I would be all for them playing at the G, or just anywhere in Australia at the moment.  Maybe we will be the last leg announced just as on the Vertigo tour.
