Yes it makes music, and art in general, seem strange.

I like how when I read (lots of 'em) the reviews on NLOTH....the critics had one song as the albums' best, while others had it as the worst. That's why critics opinions don't mean much to me....they're only regular people and often not fans of the music they're critiquing!

When Love Comes to Town
Love and Peace or Else

Regarding the first: I love BB King, but honestly he's the only redeeming thing about that song.  The songwriting just sucks, and the chorus starts to grate by the third time through.

Bono hasn't written a lyrics that good in 10 years.

Except for The Wanderer, right?

I would rate The Wanderer as among Bono's best lyrics, as well as much of Achtung Baby & Pop, but that was more then 10 yrs ago

I totally agree with you, I love Miami.  However, I still can't get through an entire listen of "I'll go crazy, if I don't go crazy"....NLOTH is amazing, but that song is not only one of U2's worst, but one of the worst songs I have heard in recent memory.

HOW  can you Cringe to Trying To Throw Your arms Around The World!!!!!!!!!!
The Champagne , the girl on stage the uplifting moment (Strangely missing from the Zoo TV Video ( ? Under age Girl))
there's more Arsenal for cringing on the last 3 albums than Trying To Throw Your arms Around The World

Mad Mad Mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as mad as people on this forum expressing their opinion as to how bad the new album is.

-------------------------------------
The sycophant comment was priceless. Bottom line is if you're on this board, you view U2 as one of your children.  They may bring home a drawing that looks like crap but as their parent, you still say "good job".  LOL - BTW - I like NLOTH.

Yes, that is a truly rubbish lyric. I don't mind the actual song though...
