I've got a feeling that tickets aren't going to be quite as much $$$ as we've feared. They have to be looking at Metallica and Madonna each doing recent US shows to 60% or less of venue capacity in some US cities.

Did you hear that report on NPR too?

Missed that one. I stop in at Blabbermouth (a metal/hard rock newssite) every few days, and they had some Metallica attendance numbers. They weren't selling out anywhere on the first few weeks of the tour, and top ticket price was $75-80. Des Moines in particular stood out; I think they sold 9,500 tickets in a nearly 18,000-capacity venue. As for Madonna, I'm in the Detroit area; there were all sorts of stories about her first hometown show in 8 years. A couple mentioned how tickets weren't moving; I think she ended up selling about 65% of what was available.

Well for Christmas I had to use  up the fund I was building ( set aside $5 here and there) for concerts and am now starting over again!  This may take awhile to save up for!!!   :(   Going the change jar route.
