NLOTH & NLOTH2 on tour
« on: May 07, 2009, 02:14:39 PM »
I think they should open the shows with the album version of NLOTH (I used to think Fez-Being Born but I know think that should be the encore, accompanied by an awesome light show). Anyway, I think they could close with the alternate version of NLOTH. I think it would work well. Anyone with me?

I would rather hear another song than the same one being played twice. Very disappointed when they did this with vertigo on the last tour. Only good point was the song sounded much better at the end of the show than at the begining.

True, but the alternate version sounds pretty different from the original. I agree that the Vertigo tactic last time around didn't really do it for me either.

I actually prefer the alternate version to the studio one. I think it would sound great as the opening song of the encore.

For a band with 30 years of music, they should not be repeating songs. Ever. OK OK In my opinion.

The Vertigo bookends never made sense to me. OK, sure, I understand the lights/no lights thing but it's still dumb.

Would open them up to rightful criticism. And there's no need for it at all.

I'm hoping for the alternate version too. I really like the "NO - - - NO - LINE" during the last 50 seconds of the song (hope that makes sense).

it was used as a homage to their earlier days when they ran out of songs to play. So they ended up repeating songs.

I really don't see them as the same song though.

They will probably blend the two. They combine a lot of songs. They will probably start out with the album version. Then they will probably blend into No Line version 2. I think they should do that.

they won't play the remix version.  when they open with the cd-version, i'm hoping it will be a bit slower and a bit angrier.

I think they'll play it similar to the way they played it on the BBC video
